This pair of Matsushita 6CA7 had made it all the way through sound check, and we were about to begin before the amplifier cut out and started stinking up the place.

No. Wound up playing through one of Don's Bassman 50s. December of last year, took me this long to remark on it (I think perhaps the sting has abated a bit). The Traynor is up and running with a set of KT77 now.
