Corrosion?
Not a release of the Magic Smoke?

Correct, something external did that. For all I know, the IC still works...

Hello, noted you also did a rebuild on a AC-8 or the Rockwell version which is basically the same. My AC-8 has cable labels on all of the wires and I wonder if there is a running list somewhere to know what numbers go where?

Thanks Stanley Adams

Hi Stanley!

I wouldn't go so far as to say I rebuilt my AC-8, I have recapped several modules, but thankfully the unit was largely intact when I bought it.

I had a peek at the manual (http://www.autogram.net/manuals/manuals/AC-8_Audio_Console.pdf) but I think all the call outs at wiring loom connections correspond to the connection at screw terminal strips. In terms of interfacing with inputs and outputs, pages 11-13 of the manual got me squared away.

If you do need to trace your loom, I did note that the wiring ends where loom ties to the underside of the screw terminal sub assemblies is also numerically labeled.
